How to prevent Blood Cancer Naturally

Blood cancer is one of the complex diseases that mankind has ever seen. But, it can be prevented in many ways. The basics of cancer prevention are to eat natural and high antioxidant foods. Other factors such as sleeping habits, genetics and exercise also contribute towards the development of cancer. If you want to discuss anything related to cancer, then you can visit the best oncologists in Dubai.

In this Blood Cancer Awareness month, Let’s sneak peek at few tips that can prevent blood cancer naturally

Avoid Tobacco at any cost

Tobacco is responsible for causing many types of cancers. If you smoke, then stopping it will help to reduce the risk of cancer. Smoking not only causes lung damage but can lead to cancer in the mouth, throat, larynx, pancreas, bladder, cervix and kidney. Chewing tobacco is also equally or more harmful than smoking. Tobacco produces a cancer-causing agent which affects the blood cells, leading to blood cancer. You can visit the best hospital in Dubai if you want guidance in quitting smoking.

Maintain a healthy diet

Eating junk foods such as potato chips, processed meat, cold drinks, commercial soda, etc. has been responsible for cancer in the long run. You must limit or avoid junk foods at any cost. Looking forward, try to include more whole grains, beans, fruits and vegetables in your diet. These foods will provide you with a balanced diet to keep cancer at bay.

You must avoid high-calorie foods, most of the time including complex sugar and animal fat. If you have been drinking regularly, then it’s time to stop. Too much alcohol consumption leads to cancer of the breast, colon, lung, kidney and liver. Try to follow a Mediterranean diet which includes more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and legumes.

Physical activity

You should work out regularly to keep cancer at bay. According to research, brisk walking and other moderate exercises shall be carried out at least two hours per week to prevent cancer. Regular exercise will also help to burn excess body fat. Our body fat releases estrogen, which is a leading cause of breast cancer.

Keep yourself hydrated

Drinking sufficient water will reduce the chances of cancer in the bladder. Water is responsible for filtering cancer forming agents in the urine. You discard the potential cancer-causing and hormone-disrupting chemicals through good filtration. Avoid using plastic bottles and choose glass vessels.

Proper vaccination is vital

Cancer prevention also depends upon the protection against viral infections. Children at a young age must get vaccinated for Hepatitis B and human papillomavirus (HPV). Hepatitis B is responsible for liver cancer, while HPV can lead to cervical cancer. The HPV vaccine should be administered to girls and boys aged 11 and 2 years respectively.

Sun exposure

You should wear sun cream inside the home as well as outside. Sun rays are responsible for skin cancer and various skin disease. Try to stay indoors during the noon when the sun rays are stronger. The sun rays directly affect the blood a well. Along with the sun cream, wear good sunglasses and a hat to prevent sun exposure.
