How to Prevent Prostate Cancer Naturally

Prostate cancer is not a fatal disease, but chances are there it can affect you. You can avoid this disease naturally by following a balanced diet, maintaining weight and exercising. According to research, about 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. If you want to know about the disease, then you can consult the best oncologist in Dubai. Let us discuss the methods that can reduce the risk of getting prostate canc

Diet is Vital

Studies have shown that a good diet plan can reduce the chances of getting prostate cancer. You should avoid eating saturated and trans fats. Instead, focus on consuming good fats such as omega-3 found in fish, seeds and nuts.  You should consume more fruits and vegetables. You should limit the intake of red meat and meat cooked in the form of frying and grilling, as they may produce a cancer-causing agent.

Green tea will help those men who are at high risk of getting prostate. You should limit the intake of red meat and meat cooked in the form of frying and grilling, as they may produce a cancer-causing agent.

  • Boost Isoflavones intake

According to research, Isoflavones can reduce the risk of getting prostate cancer but can’t prevent it. Soy products have the highest amount of isoflavones. Isoflavones are highly anti-inflammatory. You can try eating more soy-based foods such as soy milk, beans and tofu. Isoflavones are also found in foods such as chickpeas, alfalfa and miso.

  • Folate may help you

The American Cancer Society has found that low folate in your blood may increase the chances of getting prostate cancer. But, you should eat folate-rich natural foods instead of supplements. Folate is found in food such as green vegetables, beans, whole grains, and fortified breakfast cereals.

  • Avoid excess Sugar and Carbohydrate

Some studies have indicated that a glycemic rich diet may increase the risk of getting prostate cancer. The glycemic level determines the level of carbs and sugar in the body.

Some studies have indicated that the link between sugar and cancer is complex. But, sugar may be the driving factor towards the development of prostate and other cancers such as pancreatic and colorectal cancer.

Say no to Smoking

Smoking has been linked to many types of cancer, including prostate cancer. According to research, prostate cancer survivors who smoke are at a high risk of getting the disease again. Furthermore, smokers also have a higher risk of dying from the disease.  You can visit the best hospital in Dubai if you want guidance to quit smoking.

Exercise Regularly

According to studies, obese and overweight people are at more risk of getting prostate cancer. If you are not exercising regularly then make it a habit. Exercise will not only keep your weight balanced but also increase lean muscle mass and aid metabolism. The best exercise is swimming, cycling, running, walking and jogging. You can also form a sports group with your friends.

Always remember that prevention is better than cure. These simple lifestyle changes can cut the risk of getting prostate cancer.
