Dr. Praveen Rao Vadije is a highly experienced Specialist Neonatologist with over 12 years of expertise in Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care. Dr. Praveen has extensive experience working in Level III and Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and is skilled in managing extremely preterm and high-risk newborns requiring advanced life support. His clinical approach combines evidence-based medicine, modern technology, and family-centred care.
He is specially trained in advanced neonatal ventilation, including invasive and non-invasive respiratory support, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFO), and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) therapy. Dr. Praveen is also proficient in neonatal resuscitation, therapeutic hypothermia, neonatal transport, and emergency stabilization of critically ill newborns.
Dr. Praveen completed his MBBS from Osmania Medical College, followed by an MD in Pediatrics from Mamata Medical College. He later pursued DrNB in Neonatology at Fernandez Hospital, Hyderabad, one of India’s leading tertiary neonatal centres. He is a certified Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Trainer and an active member of the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP).
He has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed medical publications and is actively involved in research, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives in neonatology. Dr. Praveen is also experienced in counselling parents and supporting families through complex neonatal journeys.
